Nancy Pelosi & President Pumpkin Head

Now that the Dems are the majority in the House of Representatives, who will/should be the next Speaker? That’s easy, Nancy Pelosi should be the next Speaker and Nancy Pelosi will be the next Speaker.

There are some new members who said they would not vote for Pelosi during their campaigns and there are several veteran members, mostly in the Midwest, who say someone else should be Speaker. Many of the new members who said they wouldn’t vote for Pelosi actually said it with her blessing. They were running in tight races in conservative districts and the Right has done a pretty good job of demonizing Nancy Pelosi, painting her as a “San Francisco liberal” who wants to take away everyone’s guns, ban the words “Merry Christmas”, and turn their children into gay communists.

The veteran members say Pelosi is too old and has been negatively stigmatized, so it’s time for ‘new blood’, preferably someone from the Midwest to better represent America’s values, whatever the hell that means. The ‘new blood’ argument is semi-valid. Pelosi has been in a leadership position for quite a while and she is 78 years old. But as for any negative image she has, it is a result of an endless barrage of attacks the Right has directed at her. And why do they do that? Because she is a smart, effective leader who they’re trying to cripple!

Ms. Pelosi’s strategy and leadership helped flip 40+/- seats in the House. She is also a tireless campaigner and prodigious fundraiser, doling out millions of dollars to House Dems for their campaigns. So now that they’re back in power some want to dump the person most responsible for getting that power back?! Yes, she was aided greatly by the historic unpopularity of the vile and hated Donnie Pumpkin Head, but still, she did the heavy lifting. So yes, she should be Speaker and she will be Speaker.

Speaking of President Pumpkin Head (PPH), have you noticed how unhinged he’s been since the midterms? He’s ramped up his moronic and hateful tweeting, he had a disastrous trip to Europe, he’s fighting more than usual with the press, and he’s insulting victims of California’s devastating wildfires. Then, in the last couple of days, he flipped a switch and toned it down. He not only complimented Nancy Pelosi, he said nice things about the two Dems who lost close governors races in Florida and Georgia (of course, when the races were still undecided he was calling them thieves and cheaters). And he actually visited California, touring the areas in both parts of the state ravaged by wildfires.

While it will undoubtedly be short-lived, what gives with the softer tone coming from PPH? No matter what he or anyone else says, he lost big-time in the midterms. The Dems now have investigative and subpoena power, and they’re going to use them. My guess is PPH is going through the 5 stages of grief. The first week or so was denial and anger. Now he’s at the bargaining stage. Perhaps he thinks if he’s nice and complimentary to the Dems, especially Nancy Pelosi, they’ll go easy on scrutinizing his corrupt and unethical life. Uh, won’t work Donnie, which will soon get through even to your thick and deluded mind, leading you to the next grief stage: depression.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi; she’s earned the right to be Speaker of the House. I believe under her leadership the Dems will be strategic, yet ruthless, in going after the Trump Crime Syndicate. This is important because they don’t want to appear to be petty and vindictive in their pursuit of Trump’s crimes. Donnie and the Righties know this, which is why they keep calling potential oversight/investigations, “Presidential harassment”.

Donnie Pumpkin Head; we’ll know he’s reached the depression stage of grief when it’s revealed he’s locked himself in his bedroom, with Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kellyanne Conway telling him how great he is while feeding him Big Macs, massaging the bone spurs in his feet, and reading him his favorite book, “The Art of the Deal”.

My wife & I dote on our nieces, nephews, dog, & cat, not necessarily in that order. I am the agnostic of the family, have a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University, and I'm mostly unemployed, having been 'displaced' as a Region Appraisal Manager when Wachovia Bank dissolved the department. I say 'mostly' unemployed, as I do work part-time officiating youth & high school football, as well as umpire girls fast pitch softball. So that's more or less me. View all posts by danfahey
